Commencement and Diplomas

Faculty and Staff » Commencement and Diplomas

The degree and diploma department is comprised of three different areas.

  • The graduation process, the adding and maintenance of degree records on SIS and printing of diplomas.
  • Editing of the commencement program and participation in the commencement ceremony.
  • The printing of replacement diplomas for past graduates who need to replace their diplomas.

The Graduation Process

  1. This process begins with each college or school submitting a list and diploma cards for their students who are graduating each semester. This list is maintained and updated throughout the semester.
  2. After graduation final lists are submitted from the deans' offices and SIS is edited and updated.
  3. Degrees are then posted to each student's record.
  4. The diplomas are then printed in-house and are available to students two months following graduation.
